Youth Our Biggest Asset; Vital To Impart IT Skills: Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that youth was the biggest asset and it was vital to train our youth in information technology skills. The Federal Minister was talking to Rector Virtual University (VU) Dr. Naveed A. Malik who called on him here on Wednesday, said a press release issued here. Matters related to education were discussed during the meeting while Rector VU briefed the Federal Minister about the University’s programmes and courses. Rector VU apprised that the varsity had 176 campuses in different cities and its total graduates to date were 54,695. He said that VU has over 150,000 enrolled students, adding that VU had biology wet laboratories at Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Karachi. He went on saying that all courses of VU were bilingual. Dr Naveed said that Virtual University plans to establish its own campuses nationwide.
