160 Vehicles Challaned, 40 Impounded, 50 Number Plates Seized In Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 160 vehicles were challaned and 40 were confiscated while those 50 government number plates which were placed on private vehicles were seized by the Traffic Police in different areas of the metropolis on Wednesday. The action was taken in connection with the campaign against fancy number plates, vehicles plying on open-letter, applied for registration number plates or government number plates installed on private vehicles, said DIG Traffic Karachi Javed Ali Meher while talking to media persons at Arambagh Traffic Section – City District here.
