Sindh High Court summons DIG Traffic in petition against closure of roads

Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) here Thursday on a petition of Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) against closure of six roads in South zone Karachi summoned DIG Traffic in personal capacity.

As per details, the court of chief justice SHC and Justice Yousuf Ali Syeed heard a petition of PDP against the closure of six roads in South Zone Karachi. The council of the petitioner, Irfan Aziz, told the court that six roads without legal process including Mir Karam Ali Talpur Road, road to Burns Garden, road near Jang Press and road near Avari Tower.

During the hearing SP Traffic presented him before the court. The court asked where DIG Traffic was and he replied that he was in Hyderabad. The court expressed displeasure and summoned the DIG Traffic in personal capacity and adjourned the hearing till September 22.
